RUTENBAR WINS UIUC AWARD FOR MEDIA RELATIONS Sept. 25, 2015 – Rob Rutenbar is the winner of the University of Illinois 2015 Award for Communication and Marketing Excellence (ACME) for Media Relations, honoring his efforts to promote CS, the College of Engineering, and the Illinois campus in the media.  The award is given annually by the UIUC Department of Public Affairs, and he joins colleagues Sheldon Jacobson (CS) and John Rogers (MatSci) as one of only three engineering faculty ever to win this award.…

RUTENBAR GIVES KEYNOTE AT ISPD’15 CONFERENCE March 31, 2015 – Rob Rutenbar gave a keynote talk at the 2015 ACM Int’l Conference on Physical Design, titled “Analog Circuit and Layout Synthesis Revisited” in Monterrey, CA. His talk focused on the history of design automation for custom analog and RF circuits, problems solved along the way (many by his research group) and open problems that remain.
