RUTENBAR RECEIVES PROLIFIC AUTHOR AWARDS AT 50TH DAC June 5, 2013 2013 marked the 50th anniversary of the important ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference.  There was a special set of awards given at this conference, for authors with exceptional records of contribution.  Rob was honored with two of these awards:  A “DAC30 Club Prolific Author” award for having published 30+ papers at DAC over his career;  and a “DAC Hat Trick Award” for having won a DAC Best Paper Award exactly three times (at the 24th, 39th and 47th… Read more

RUTENBAR AND COLLEAGUES AT CMU, IBM WIN 2013 PEDERSON TCAD BEST PAPER AWARD May 30, 2013 Rob and colleagues Wangyang Zhang, Xin Li and Shawn Blanton from CMU, Frank Liu and Emrah Acar from IBM  were awarded the 2013 IEEE Donald O. Pederson Award, which honors the best paper published in IEEE Transactions on CAD over the previous two years.  They won for their paper “Virtual Probe: A Statistical Framework for Low-Cost Silicon Characterization of Nanoscale Integrated Circuits,” which appeared December 2011, and developed novel, efficient mechanisms for building models of nanoscale statistics… Read more
