Google Scholar says my H-Index == 42 at the moment. Microsoft Academic Search says I’m in the Top 100 authors in the CS Hardware & Architecture domain. My Erdos number is 4.

Since I get asked about this a lot, given the breadth of stuff I’ve worked on, I decided to just make a picture. This is where my PhD students end up, and a logo cloud of current and also former positions for some of them.

Illinois CS & ECE hosted a “Chicago After Hours” event in October 2012, which brought several Chicago entrepreneurs and tech companies to campus. A very cool part of this event was a panel discussion I hosted, with these participants (left to right): Brad Keywell (cofounder of Groupon and Lightbank), me, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Mike Evans (cofounder of GrubHub), and Eric Lunt (CTO of BrightTag).
